When It come To Grandson’s, I have the Best!

This afternoon we were invited to Thatcher so that Karl could go pheasant hunting with Ryan, and his dad Lindsay, to celebrate Ryan’s birthday Monday.  He wanted me to go but my heart has never been into seeing any animal or fowl being killed.  I know they do it for food but I chose to stay at Lindsay’s house and read.  I just started Dan Brown’s “The Last Symbol.” It is proving to be thought provoking an as usual contains words far beyond my lack of phonic skills to pronounce.  Never the less I get the meaning and hang in there.  While reading I  received a call from Amanda wondering if she could come over and felt her dappointment when I told her where I wasn’t home.  Joshua asked to talk to me. He wanted to spend the night and of course the answer was yes.

I love my grandchildren with all my heart and saying no doesn’t happen too often. At this late hour I will say goodnight but it was worth it.  Just think, he would rather be cuddled on the couch with his grandma and grandpa than out with the boys. That is quite remarkable for a 14 year old.  He is such a love.
